National League/Longford Town - 0 Dublin City - 0: Dublin City have been frustrating many sides in the Eircom Premier Division and the league's bottom club certainly caused plenty of problems for Longford Town on Saturday night at Flancare Park.

City were full value for this draw and Longford had just one decent chance in the opening 45 minutes but Shane Barrett's 10th-minute effort was smothered by the visiting defence.

City's best chance came in first-half injury time but Gary O'Neill shot wide with only Mick Dempsey to beat.

Paul Keegan could have sealed an home win in the last minute but his header was saved by City goalkeeper Robbie Horgan.

LONGFORD: Dempsey, Murphy, Prunty, Dillon, Ferguson, Barrett, Kirby, Sheridan, Baker, Francis, Byrne. Subs: Martin for Byrne (60); Keegan for Francis (68).

DUBLIN CITY: Horgan, Burke, Foy, Griffin, Whelehan, Crowley, O'Connor, Colwell, O'Neill, Tierney, Brennan. Subs: Gleeson for Crowley (74); Scully for Brennan (74); Hughes for O'Neill (82).

Referee: P Tuite (Dublin).
