Liverpool's sponsors Carlsberg were none too pleased when they learnt that the players' lounge at Anfield had been declared a booze-free zone, at the request of a team delegation led by Jamie Redknapp. Happily, though, a compromise was reached: the Carlsberg pumps will remain highly visible in the lounge, they just won't be connected to any beer barrels. Probably the best compromise in the world.
