ENGLAND prop Jason Leonard faces possible suspension after being cited by Scotland officials for allegedly aiming a punch at Scottish captain Rob Wainwright during Saturday's Calcutta Cup contest.

Leonard, 27, was shown on television swinging an under-arm blow, although the video does not reveal where it connected. An inquiry will adjudicate on Leonard's immediate future later this week, with French match commissioner Jacky Laurans likely to feature highly in any decision.

Meanwhile, South African hooker James Dalton has been suspended for two matches in the Super 12 series after being found guilty of deliberately kicking the head of a New South Wales player.
