Camogie: There were two relatively surprising results in the Gael Linn interprovincial championship finals at Páirc Tailteann on Saturday with Leinster overcoming holders Munster by 2-7 to 1-8 in the senior game and a last minute Veronica Curtin point earning Connacht a 3-12 to 1-17 victory over Ulster.

Leinster led for much of the game and had two first-half goals through Brigid Curran and Marie Dargan.

Munster, however, managed to draw level with six minutes remaining but Kate Kelly was accurate from a free and an injury-time point from Áine Fahy secured for Leinster a first interprovincial success since 1993.

St Lachtain's of Freshford, who are aiming for their third All-Ireland title in a row, beat Ballyboden St Enda's by 1-9 to 1-6 in the Leinster club championship final yesterday.
