Ireland's Peter Lawrie won the British Professional tour qualifying school by five shots at Hawkstone Park in Shropshire yesterday. The former Irish Close champion shot a level par 72 in the final round in blustery conditions for a 54 hole aggregate of 207.

Warrenpoint's Jim Carville was joint 31st on 218 after a closing 75. Dublin's John Kelly and Tralee's Graham Spring finished 53rd on 221 after rounds of 75 and 80 respectively.
