Munster coach Declan Kidney received a significant boost when former Australian international John Langford agreed a one-year extension to his contract which ran out recently.

He was expected to return to Australia but has decided to remain with Munster.

Langford was a vital component of Munster's interprovincial success and their European Cup odyssey which ended in defeat by Northampton in the final at Twickenham.
