Leinster Colleges SH A Championship/Kilkenny CBS 0-12 St Brendan's CS Birr 0-5:Kilkenny CBS saw off the challenge of St Brendan's Birr by seven points at a windy Clonad yesterday. Aided in particular by the blustery conditions in the second half, Kilkenny found the range with some key scores that saw them home.
They hit points through Oisín Walsh, Brian Kennedy, Martin Bambrick and Martin Gaffney, with eight in the last half hour.
Birr replied with efforts by Sean Coughlan and Tomas Bolger.
In a hard fought first half a point on half-time by Ollie Walsh gave Kilkenny CBS a 0-4 to 0-3 lead.
