Kilkenny look like plumping for Eamonn Kennedy as their championship centre back now that former All Star Pat O'Neill is not part of the inter-county picture. Kennedy has been picked at centre back on the team to play All-Ireland champions Cork in the PJ Delaney Benefit Fund game at Nowlan Park tomorrow evening. Kennedy is the only recognised number six in the squad, and if can do well against the All-Ireland champions, a place on the championship side is the likely prize.

Kilkenny: (SH) v Cork - J McGarry; P Larkin, S Meally, N Hickey; P Mullally, E Kennedy, P Barry; D Byrne, A Comerford; S Grehan, J Power, B McEvoy; C Carter, DJ Carey, E Brennan. Subs: M Carey, A Cummins, M Kavanagh, J P Corcoran, H Shefflin.
