Despite the midfielder having trained in Dublin yesterday without any apparent problems, Sunderland manager Roy Keane raised some doubt yesterday as to whether Liam Miller will be fit enough to play against Germany at Croke Park tomorrow night.

"Liam did have a bit of a groin (strain) so we hope he will be fit enough for selection," said the manager.

"He has played in our last couple of games and done well.

"There's no doubt that he's a talented player and he played well against Arsenal. For him to have been on stand-by (Miller was called up by Steve Staunton on Wednesday) was a strange one."
