RUGBY:THE IRFU is set to announce an extension of their existing sponsorship deal with the telecommunications company Telefonica O2 Ireland, reports John O'Sullivan.

The new agreement is set to be unveiled at the Ireland team training base Carton House on Monday. It is believed to be a multi-million euro deal that will take both parties through the 2015 World Cup.

O2 has sponsored the Ireland team for the past five years.
