Ireland lost their European Youth Team golf title as they failed to qualify for the top match play flight in Madeira yesterday.

Lying in seventh place overnight, Ireland slipped to 11th after yesterday's second qualifying round and they now play in the second flight which means the best they can finish is ninth.
