IRELAND lost 5 1/2-3 1/2 to Wales after a tense tussle in ideal conditions in the Youth International at Royal St David's, Harlech yesterday. With the score delicately poised at 1 1/2-1 1/2 after the morning foursomes, the Irish lost 4-2 in the afternoon singles as Wales stamped their authority on the match.
