IRELAND'S Colum Slevin. Jonathan Cowan and Sean Spelman bad their second successive victory when they beat Sudan 3-0 in their Category Two match in the World Table Tennis Championships in Manchester yesterday.

Slevin beat Dein Hussain El Saif in straight sets, Cowan then overcame Ahmed El Mak Osama and Spelman eased passed Hafzalia Amier.

Linda Radford continued her winning run for England when she made her World Championship debut yesterday.

The 21 year old from Dagenham, who was unbeaten in the Commonwealth team event last week, helped the English women gain their first victory at the world's when they beat Armenia 3-0 in decisive manner. Radford defeated Mariana Sahakyan 21-13 21-15 for the victory that clinched the match and eased fears of relegation from Category One.
