IJF to benefit from fun run

RACING:FIVE hundred people are expected to attend the inaugural "Jog For Jockeys" 5km fun run which takes place at five racecourses throughout the country tomorrow, writes Brian O'Connor.

Organised to raise funds for the Injured Jockeys Fund, the runs will take place at Cork, Down Royal, Leopardstown, Galway and Naas racecourses, starting at noon. Among the well-known people taking part are the Irish rugby international Mick O’Driscoll, RTÉ’s Tracey Piggott and top jockeys Nina Carberry and Robbie Power.

It costs €25 to enter with proceeds going to the IJF.
