Single sculler Padraic Hussey left himself with a lot to do after finishing second in his heat on the first day of the World Junior Rowing Championships at Ottensheim in Austria. The Offaly 18-year-old, Ireland's only representative, must now finish first or second in a repechage today to qualify for tomorrow's semi-finals.

Hussey was disappointed with yesterday's performance, which showed little of the form which has seen him take two Irish junior titles in the last two years.
