MIKE HOULIHAN makes a surprisingly quick return to the Limerick team for the Munster senior hurling championship tie against Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh next Sunday.

Houlihan was not expected to make the game after breaking his jaw a month ago. But he had the wiring removed from the injury on Thursday and is declared fit to partner Sean O'Neill at midfield.

Declan Nash and Ciaran Carey have also recovered from injury and are included in defence. Frankie Carroll has lost his place at right half forward and is included among the substitutes.
