PBC Cork 23 Ard Scoil Rís 8:Holders Pres Cork qualified for the semi-finals of the Munster Schools' Junior Cup with a three-try to one victory over Ard Scoil Rís at Musgrave Park yesterday.

Wing Michael O'Leary scored the first in first-half injury-time to earn an 8-3 interval lead after Alan Dempsey had kicked Ard Scoil in front with a penalty, only for Eamon Mills to reply in kind.

Pres claimed a second try early in the second half, captain Ryan Murphy touching down, and Rory Cullinane wrapped it up with a third after 53 minutes, Mills converting for 20-3.

He landed a penalty before Ard Scoil crossed for a consolation try from Peter McGann.
