A stunning amateur career that took her to the top of the world rankings for 52 weeks, Leona and her twin sister Lisa have dominated the amateur scene in Ireland and around the world since they were teenagers. The 21-year-old from Cavan went to Ivy League Duke University and this year helped Ireland and GB defeat the US in the Curtis Cup staged in Dún Laoghaire GC, Dublin. In July, Maguire was selected for the 2015-16 Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars Team for the second year in a row.
