The dispute involving 100 junior doctors, who had withdrawn from outpatient services at University College Hospital, Galway, has been resolved.

The limited industrial action, which began last Tuesday, arose after the non consultant hospital doctors claimed that there was lack of medical cover at the hospital's accident and emergency department. The action was due to escalate next week to another hospital in the city.
