WATERFORD REACHED the Munster minor hurling final at sunny Cusack Park, Ennis, last evening after a strong second-half performance.

They trailed 0-9 to 1-2 at the break.

A goal by Brian O’Halloran had kept the winners in touch in the opening half and further goals by Paudie Prendergast and substitute Ian Galgey swayed the outcome.

After the resumption Clare had to play second fiddle to a more focused Waterford.

The introduction of Galgey into the attack on the turnaround proved decisive.
