England manager Kevin Keegan has admitted that taking Robbie Fowler to Euro 2000 would "probably be a gamble" - but is still determined to give the striker every chance to prove his fitness during the three warm-up games.

Keegan knows that whichever of his six strikers he leaves behind, he will face fierce criticism - especially if Fowler's in-form rivals Andy Cole and Kevin Phillips are left out.

The line-up held few surprises barring the inclusion of Everton midfielder Nick Barmby and Aston Villa goalkeeper David James.
