NOTTINGHAM Forest eased their way to a FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Oxford with a comfortable victory in the replay against first division Stoke at the City Ground last night.

Goals from Kevin Campbell in the first half and Stuart Pearce from a penalty after the interval sealed the fate of a battling Stoke side.

Campbell's 16th minute opener was just the kind of early boost that Forest needed after their nervous 90 minutes in the first game at Stoke. The former Arsenal striker rounded off a move involving Scot Gemmill and Ian Woan by rifling a right foot shot into the roof of the net.

Forest had a let off when Ray Wallace's centre flashed across an open goal.
