A RAYMOND GALLAGHER goal two minutes from time gave Fermanagh the necessary cushion to defeat Tyrone and take the Dr McKenna Cup at Clones yesterday. Fermanagh ran out 2-11 to 3-4 winners.

Fermanagh led all through and had enough in hand even when Tyrone scored a goal and a point in injury time. Gallagher scored their first goal in the 16th minute as Fermanagh went nine points ahead before Tyrone opened their account. Two Peter Canavan goals, one from a penalty, brought Tyrone back into the match.
