Niamh and Donal Adams had plenty to tell their friends after a recent competition at Tullamore Golf Club. Playing in the same competition 14-year-old Niamh, who plays off a 30 handicap, holed out her tee-shot at the second and to make it a family double, her 12-year-old brother Donal holed out at the ninth.

A week earlier Gearoid O'Grady also had a hole-in-one at the ninth in another junior competition. Meanwhile, in Ennis, Deirdre Molyneaux has certainly got the measure of the par-three 13th. Deirdre has made an ace at the hole twice in recent weeks.
