YOUNG MUNSTER'S remarkable run of failures in their once imposing citadel at Clifford Park continued on Saturday, when they were beaten 11-9 by Garryowen.

Young Munster have now lost all of their five games at the venue and while they are relatively safe from relegation, they certainly haven't given their devoted fans a great deal to cheer about this season.

Garryowen were slightly the more enterprising side but they failed to take some gilt edged, chances and found themselves a point behind at a dangerously late stage of the game.

Killian Keane missed three penalties before Barry Everitt took over that role and found the target after 35 minutes.

Immediately after half time, a lovely break by Dan Larkin, the Garryowen full back, led to a simple but nicely executed try for Dominic Crotty. Young Munster then at last showed their traditional fire to grab the lead through a hat trick of penalties by Aidan O'Halloran.

Some 77 minutes had elapsed when Garryowen struck for the winner, a splendid drop goal from more than 30 metres by outhalf Everitt.
