DUNDALK GRAMMAR made history at Sydney Parade yesterday with their first ever win in Section A of the Leinster Schools Senior Cup.

The 45-3 win over New Ross laid to rest the ghost of last year's defeat by Newpark, with Redmond Collins turning in a five star performance in the number eight jersey.

New Ross took the lead through a Mark Ronan penalty, before succumbing to a Dundalk side who proved too strong in all departments. Dundalk scored seven tries five of which were converted by full back Declan Lambe, who also managed a touchdown. Robert Shuttleworth (2), R Collins (2), Joe Gilles and Alan Carter also contributed to Dundalk's tally.
