Ulster MFC: Down 1-10 Cavan 2-5: Down's greater accuracy was the key to victory over Cavan at Breffni Park yesterday.

Cavan shot 15 wides with Down recording just five.

Down looked the more purposeful side in the early minutes of the second half and Eamon Toner scored an opportunist goal after only three minutes to boost their cause.
