FRANKIE DETTORI'S strike rate at the Capannelle, Rome, has been nothing short of phenomenal, and he underscored this by riding four winners from five rides yesterday afternoon.

Dettori took the first three races aboard Grandfather's Love (Premio Tchin Tchin) (12-10), Nicole Pharly (Premio Garim) (6-10) and Blu Earthquake (Premio Sortingo) (17-10).

Dertori's luck temporarily deserted him on John Gosden's Leap For Joy, who finished fifth to 52 to 1 longshot Golden Oriental in the Group Three Premio Umbria over six furlongs.

The Italian, though, was smiling once again in the Group Two Premio Guido Berardelli (9f) for two-year-olds in which he drove Golden Aventura (26-10) to a length and a half victory over John Dunlop's Yavlensky (Michael Roberts).

Dellori had ridden three winners at the Capannelle the previous Sunday.
