Ireland's Joe Delaney battled his way to the last 32 of snooker's World Championship qualifiers in Blackpool last night with a hardfought 10-8 win over Gary Ponting. The 25-year-old from Glasnevin is now only one win away from the televised stages at the Crucible, Sheffield. Delaney was joined in the final qualifying round by Northern Ireland's Jason Prince.
