Death of Stephen White

STEPHEN WHITE, who was selected at left half back on the football Team of the Century in 1984, has died.

STEPHEN WHITE, who was selected at left half back on the football Team of the Century in 1984, has died.

White starred when Louth last won the All-Ireland senior football title, in 1957, with a 1-9 to 1-7 final victory over Cork. He was also on the Louth teams that won Leinster in 1948, ’50, ’53 and ’57.

While in college, he represented Galway at minor and junior levels.
