DESPITE a curtailed five-race card and the persistent threat of rain, a 13,286 crowd attended Day Three of the Punchestown festival, down from last year’s corresponding figure of 15,527.

Tote turnover on the five races dropped to €290,183 from €985,445 and bookmaker betting fell from €1,544,394 to yesterday’s €656,205.
