We all dream of shooting great rounds of golf, but actually doing it proves elusive for most of us. But for one of Clontarf's more distinguished players, Maurice Dalton, he had a round to remember as he raced to victory in the recent St Andrew's Cup. Playing off 15, he shot a nett 56 to leave the rest of the field trailing in his wake. Meanwhile, this Saturday, August 12th, sees the start of the highly popular Lord Mayor's Cup at Clontarf.
