THE CURRAGH racecourse has confirmed a new five-year deal with the Emirates Equestrian Federation to sponsor the Irish Guineas races which will be run this year on May 22nd-23rd. The colts' Classic will now be known as the Abu Dhabi Irish 2,000 Guineas, while the fillies equivalent will be titled the Etihad Airways 1,000 Guineas. The Classic weekend overall will be known as the Abu Dhabi Irish Guineas Festival.
