Mary McNally, playing off a handicap of nine, won the Centenary Trophy at the Curragh. Her score of one up was just one better than Marion Dunne (18) and Elaine Doyle (16) both of whom finished all square. Two days later McNally confirmed her good form when she won class one in the Tuesday singles with 37 points.
