How they got here: Second in the ultra-glamorous Group 2 behind Bulgaria, ahead of Belgium, Estonia and Andorra. Fortunate to draw Slovenia in the play-offs and won 2-1 thanks to a goal in each game from Dado Prso.

Manager: Otto Baric

Star turn: While Monaco striker Prso has made the headlines over the past season, Igor Tudor remains the key figure with the big Juventus stopper running a defence that doesn't concede many goals. One of the few survivors of the bronze medal-winning France 98 side, Tudor is good in the air, an impressive tackler and a capable passer going forward.

Prospects: Nothing in their recent past suggests this young side will emerge from their group with anything more than pride and some valuable lessons for the future.
