Yugoslavia will compete in Euro 2000 despite an attempt by Kosovars resident in Belgium to have them banned from Belgian soil, a court ruled yesterday.

The Kosovar application was thrown out by a Brussels court even though the same body upheld the principle that a member state of the European Union should not engage in financial transactions with the Yugoslav Football Federation (RFY), lawyer for the Kosovars Georges-Henri Beauthier told Belga news agency.
