Richard Coughlan was kicking his heels yesterday when rain washed out the third round of the USPGA Tour's Qualifying School (second stage) in Florence, South Carolina. "The plan now is to extend play until Saturday," said the Birr international, who is leading the field by one stroke at the halfway point.

The delay has caused travel problems for Coughlan who is set to travel to Spain this weekend for the European Tour's Final Qualifying at San Roque and Guadalmina, starting next Wednesday.
