The pairing of Cork's Miriam Abernathy and Mallow's Mary Dowling (pictured above) won the Lancome Foursomes at Killarney Golf Club on Sunday. Both play off five and their score of 41 points was three better than their nearest rivals Noeleen O'Gorman (18) and Maisie Cassidy (13) from the Rossmore club. Another Co Cork pairing, Rhona Brennan (7) and Hilda Hegarty (20) from Bandon were third, beaten on the back nine. The gross prize was won by the Donabate team of Pat Doran and Aileen Flynn who had 29 points.
