CORK stripped Tipperary of their Munster Minor Football Championship crown by winning this first round tie comfortably at Pairc Ui Rinn last evening. Cork led by 0-8 to 0-0 before Tipperary, playing with the wind, opened their account after 20 minutes. Cork, who led by 0-10 to 0-2 at the interval, stretched their advantage, when Fionan Murray cracked home a fine goal after 35 minutes and a second goal from Alan Beale, 10 minutes from the end, completed the rout. Full forward Declan Browne scored Tipperary's goal.
