Connacht were fully extended before beating Garryowen at Dooradoyle yesterday. In the first half, particularly, both sides ran the ball at every opportunity and at a speed which Connacht can expect when they play Agen in the quarterfinal of the European Conference next week.

Garryowen scored three fine tries to lead 21-14 at the break. They moved to 31-14 15 minutes into the second half before Connacht's greater fitness told and they scored five tries, all converted.
