THE Connacht club final between Mayo champions Knockmore and Roscommon champions Clann na nGael was postponed yesterday as a mark of respect to Liam Naughten, the cathaoirlach of the Seanad, who died in a car crash on Saturday afternoon.

Naughten was closely connected with the Clann na nGael club which operates in Roscommon, not far from Athlone; and had been involved in the development of the club in recent times.

The match will now be played in Ballina next Saturday.
