Five tries helped ensure that Connacht A had a deserved win over their Munster counterparts in a representative tie played at Corinthian Park on Saturday.

The game was only a few minutes old when the victors had their first try, which came from hooker Joe McVeigh and with out-half Simon Allnutt's conversion it was 7-0.

A five-minute spell between the 14th and 19th minutes saw a penalty by Allnutt and then a second try from the hosts, scored by scrum-half David Mescal.
