CLASSIC CLICHE will follow an unusual route to Longchamp by completing his Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe preparation at Kempton next month, it was announced yesterday.

The Gold Cup winner will be spared two trips abroad by contesting the Group Three September Stakes rather than a more traditional Arc trial in France.
