WICKLOW SHOCKED Meath at the death while Westmeath came out on top in a scorefest against Down to book their places in the semi-finals of the Christy Ring Cup on Saturday.

The games will be played on June 5th at neutral venues to be decided today.

Wicklow will be taking on Kerry, while Westmeath will come up against old foes Kildare.

Wicklow required a 73rd-minute goal by Jonathan O’Neill from an acute angle to claim a 3-13 to 1-18 success over 14-man Meath.

Brendan Murtagh shot eight points as Westmeath beat Down 2-21 to 1-18 and kept their hopes of reaching a fourth final at this level alive.
