Celtic were last night pondering their next move on transfer target Jorge Cadete - after being told he could cost them £2million. It emerged yesterday that Portuguese international Cadete, unveiled to the Celtic supporters last Saturday as a new signing, is still registered with Sporting Lisbon.

Celtic believed Cadete was a free agent and announced they had brought the 27-year-old striker to Parkhead until the end of the season to bolster their crown duel with Rangers.
