Aida Burke has become the latest Irish youngster to take up a golf scholarship in the United States. The five-handicapper from Charleville will combine her sporting passion with Business Studies at Campbell College in North Carolina. Burke enjoyed a brilliant 1999, leading her club to the Smurfit All Ireland under-19 title and winning her first senior Munster cap. She was an Irish junior international in the previous two years and has played Senior Cup for Douglas.
