WICKLOW SHC FINAL Carnew 0-18 Glenealy 1-13: CARNEW HALTED the bid of their rivals Glenealy for three senior titles in a row at Aughrim yesterday that brought a deserved two-point win after a tough encounter.

Glenealy’s Leighton Glynn scored a goal in the 12th minute but his side were 0-13 to 1-5 in arrears at the break.

Glenealy pressed strongly to the end but Carnew stood firm and refused to concede the scores their opponents needed to retain their crown.
