RACING:THE HIGH-CLASS hurdler Silverhand can be the centrepiece of a successful Kilbeggan session for Paul Carberry this evening.

Noel Meade’s runner reappeared after an absence to run a fine fourth in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham and a good round of jumping can see him make a winning debut over fences in the Beginners Chase.

Russian War finished ahead of Sergent Guib’s in the Pertemps at Cheltenham and can confirm that form for Carberry in the four-runner conditions hurdle while Fairwood Massini could also score for the in the handicap chase.

Carberry is on board the high-class chaser Realt Dubh in tomorrow’s €50,000 Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle which highlights Day One of the May festival at Killarney, although a better value option might be another good dual-purpose performer, False Economy.
