Eric Cantona has been giving Monaco coach Jean Tigana the low down on his former team-mates, something that will not go down well with United fans.

Tigana revealed that Cantona had been the main source of his background planning. 'I'm informed about United because I've spoken to Eric,' he said. 'I've been helped by him a lot. I know Eric well. He's from the same district as me and he has told me all about United.'
