Lee Kelleher will travel to the European junior swimming championships in Antwerp today in a confident mood after claiming five gold medals and setting two new national junior records at the Irish Open championships which concluded at the Grove Pool in Belfast on Saturday.

The young Cork woman did not compete on the final day of the meeting when only one additional record was set. Trojan's out-of-competition time of 1:47.84 in the 4x50m medley relay represented a new junior milestone.

Chantal Gibney made it another successful day for Trojan when she set a new personal best time of 56.54 in winning gold in the 100m freestyle final.

The visiting Icelandic team claimed a new record in the 4x100m freestyle relay, clocking 3:55.78.
